This week, Key Stage 1 have been busy outdoor learning. Everyday has had a different theme. Monday was art day and the children loved weaving coloured paper - not easy on a windy day! Ms Miekle was also busy helping the children with water marbling. Tuesday's theme was science. We conducted lots of mini experiments and every child sowed a sunflower seed. Cooking was the theme for Wednesday and the children enjoyed preparing flapjacks and creating fruit kebabs. Delicious! There was also time for a tug-of-war competition! Thursday was construction day - the children built a range of models from recycled materials. Then it was Friday and time to celebrate. We made sandwich faces... and then ate them! What a week!
