On Tuesday 11th October, Year 5/6 had a brilliant morning walking around Banbury! We explored the historical architecture of the town and learnt a great deal about Banbury of the past. We found it especially enjoyed visiting the Olde Reindeer pub – once a meeting hub for Oliver Cromwell where he plotted and planned for the Civil War. It was incredible to see how many original features remained. In contrast, we quickly returned to the modern day when we walked to ‘The Light’ to see one of Banbury’s newest buildings, full of entertainment and technology. We took so much away about the development of our town across the ages and can envision more clearly how life looked in days gone by.
It was a walk to remember!
